WELCOME Blog #1


This is my blog, where I will be writing about my process of creating my magazine. In order to get this magazine to happen I will need to create a front page, contents page,and a double page spread. I will need to document everything I do in this blog. All the resear, ideas, and thoughts I have will all be writtten on this blog.
This project is going to be a lot of work, so I have to create some sort of list so I can tackle it one by one and start and finish tasks that need to be finished. I will be posting here three times a week. Every post will probably be an update on my project and in which way it is going.

 I will be conducting research on genre first. Some of the genres I have in mind are a sports magazine, car magazine, fitness magazine, and a travel magazine. I will be looking into all of these and looking if I can easily do any of these. I will need to use my own pictures so I have to wisely pick the genre where I could use pictures I already have.

 As of now I have looked at all my options and I think I am going to go with a travel magazine because me and my partners have all traveled a decent amount to different parts of the world. We have to each make a different edition of the same magazine so we each pick a different place we have been to, and make our magazine about that place. We can write about the places history, food, people, sports events, top places to visit. If all else fails our second option was a car magazine. We can each use a different car and make our edition about that one car.

Today we will be brainstorming ideas for the title of the magazine. Some of the ideas we have so far are: Journey Explore Adventure Destination Places This is what we have so far. Were not sure how good they are but we will ask our fellow classmates next class, which ones they think are the best. Also I have come across a problem. The location I want to use for my magazine I don't think I have enough pictures to use for it. I will have to look at my other options or I will use the ones I have and make it work. I wanted to use Zermat, Switzerland because I have gone there to ski. Its a beautiful ski town with beautiful mountains surrounding it. I think my second option is Paris, France.

Blog #18

Today in class I began working on the CCR. It seems like it will take a lot of time to complete. I am planning on answering all the questions on a separate google docs, so when it comes time to do the voice note presentation I can have everything organized ready to answer. I will be able to quickly see and discuss the answers while the recording is going on. The video has to be 5-10 minutes so it will have to be lengthy and I will have to take my time in order to get to the time limit. I'll be working on this for the following days until the due date on Saturday.

Blog #11

Hey blog I am falling behind on my project. My family decided to take a week trip to Colorado to go skiing. I don't know how much progress will be made through out this week because I will be out most of the day. I'll try and do some work. Right now I am working on the airport Wifi that I gained access too for half an hour. While away I will be documenting some of the stuff I need to do ASAP for the magazine. I'll be putting up reminders so that I can think about the project through our the day. See you in the next blog!
